{"id":6235,"date":"2019-10-29T15:28:11","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T19:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chrs.dev.uqam.ca\/?p=6235"},"modified":"2019-10-29T15:28:41","modified_gmt":"2019-10-29T19:28:41","slug":"participation-de-la-doctorante-caroline-robert-au-colloque-prohibition-1919-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chrs.uqam.ca\/index.php\/2019\/10\/29\/participation-de-la-doctorante-caroline-robert-au-colloque-prohibition-1919-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation de la doctorante Caroline Robert au colloque Prohibition 1919-2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>La doctorante <a href=\"https:\/\/chrs.uqam.ca\/index.php\/a-propos\/equipe\/membres-etudiants\/caroline-robert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Caroline Robert (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Caroline Robert<\/a>, membre \u00e9tudiante du CHRS,  participera au colloque international Prohibition 1919-2019 tenu \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Reims du 5 au 9 novembre prochain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle livrera la communication \u00ab La prohibition au Canada et au Qu\u00e9bec (1870-1930) \u00bb le 7 novembre en matin\u00e9e dans le cadre de la s\u00e9ance Droit et sciences politiques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u00e9sum\u00e9 de sa communication : <em>La \u00ab noble exp\u00e9rience \u00bb \u00e9tasunienne de la prohibition a marqu\u00e9 l\u2019imaginaire de plusieurs, \u00e9clipsant bien souvent les exp\u00e9riences similaires ailleurs en Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Tout comme son voisin du sud, le Canada a connu plusieurs formes de prohibition : nationale, provinciale et municipale. En effet, d\u00e8s le milieu du XIXe si\u00e8cle, une loi canadienne permet aux comt\u00e9s et aux municipalit\u00e9s d\u2019instaurer un r\u00e9gime prohibitif dans les limites de leur territoire. Durant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, l\u2019une apr\u00e8s l\u2019autre, les provinces canadiennes imposent la prohibition compl\u00e8te du commerce des alcools, exception faite du Qu\u00e9bec qui ne prohibe que les alcools distill\u00e9s. Ainsi, entre 1919 et 1921, toutes les provinces canadiennes sont dot\u00e9es d\u2019un r\u00e9gime de prohibition. Contrairement aux \u00c9tats-Unis, o\u00f9 la prohibition s\u2019\u00e9tendait uniform\u00e9ment d\u2019un oc\u00e9an \u00e0 l\u2019autre, le Canada a \u00e9t\u00e9 t\u00e9moin d\u2019une pluralit\u00e9 de r\u00e9gimes prohibitifs.
