Au printemps 2024, Janice Harvey a publi\u00e9 \u00a0Their Benevolent Design: Conservative Women and Protestant Child Charities in Montreal<\/a><\/em>, un ouvrage qui explore le r\u00f4le des femmes bourgeoises protestantes dans l’assistance aux pauvres \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, au 19e si\u00e8cle. Son livre met ainsi en lumi\u00e8re des aspects peu connus de la r\u00e9ponse aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s sociales et examine l\u2019impact du lib\u00e9ralisme sur l\u2019\u00e9volution des attitudes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de la pauvret\u00e9 et de la bienfaisance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le lancement officiel de Their Benevolent Design <\/em>se tiendra le jeudi 12 septembre 2024, \u00e0 17 h, \u00e0 l’UQAM. Tous les d\u00e9tails sont sur l’affiche ci-bas.<\/p>\n\n\n
